I first got to know about this volunteering opportunity through my friend which heard it from my friend which heard it from his uncle. I came here expecting to volunteer to help out as a referee for the competition.

It turns out I was not here for that, but instead to help out as "free labour". We were called to help out as extra manpower to man the merchandise shop.

My volunteering experience went like this:

1. Help set up the merchandise shop

2. Help sell the merchandise from the shop

3. Realise that there isn't that many customers

4. Go out and advertise the merchandise

5. Get called to do something else

6. Went to go out and get people to use the hashtag of the event to promote it more

7. Get called to escort the Guest of Honour

All in all it was a a very fun and enjoyable experience in my otherwise dull lonely holiday
